William Seigh serves as Faculty Distinguished Visiting Professor of Dance and Chair of the Department of Dance at Mount Holyoke College. With over thirty years of teaching experience across multiple institutions, he has maintained an active career as a modern dancer, choreographer, and teacher throughout the United States and Europe. His leadership extends to former roles as Provost at arts-focused institutions and President of a national non-profit dance organization, where he championed excellence in arts education and administrative innovation.
His educational foundation includes:
- MFA from University of Colorado Boulder
- BA from San Francisco State University
Seigh's research centers on embodied artistic practice, specializing in concert-stage choreography for solo and ensemble works, theatrical stage direction, and experimental video dance installations.
