William Pettit is a Professor in the Department of Visual Arts at Temple University Rome, with additional teaching roles at John Cabot University, The Umbra Institute, and other international programs. He co-developed Stonehill College's Study Abroad program in Italy.

Research Interests: Pettit's work bridges historical techniques (fresco, traditional pigments) and interdisciplinary themes—geological patterns, biological systems, cosmic entropy, and poetic metaphors in art. His practice spans painting, drawing, installations, and poetry, exploring 'physical and spiritual sustenance through art.'

Professional Activities: Presented at the 9th Experimental Archeology Conference (University College Dublin) and collaborated on the 2015 Istanbul Biennial. Exhibitions include galleries in Paris, Philadelphia, Rome, and across Italy.
