William Pearson

William Pearson is a Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at Emory University. He holds a PhD in Health Services Research from the University of South Carolina and an MHA from the Medical University of South Carolina. His research focuses on healthcare systems, health outcomes, and epidemiology, particularly in the context of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and health disparities. Pearson has served as a Fellow of the American College of Epidemiology since 2010 and chaired its Admissions Committee from 2016 to 2018.

His work explores rural healthcare challenges, Medicaid policy, telehealth adoption in STI care, and financial sustainability of public health clinics. Key publications analyze STI testing trends, HIV/PrEP integration, and disparities in HIV/STI outcomes across racial and geographic groups.
