William Finger, MFA, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Video & Film at Husson University's College of Business. Prior to academia, he spent over 25 years as an Assistant Cameraman in the Motion Picture Industry, working on major films like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, My Girl, and A River Runs Through It (for which the Director of Photography won an Academy Award). He also contributed to TV series such as Bones and Dawson’s Creek.
He holds an MFA in Photography from the Rochester Institute of Technology and maintains a career as a fine art photographer. His work is featured in the George Eastman Museum of Photography, the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
Bill's research interests intersect professional film production techniques, cinematography, and fine art photography, informed by his extensive industry experience. He actively engages with both academic and artistic communities, blending practical expertise with creative expression.
