William Conner

William Conner is a Teaching Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, affiliated with the PPE Program. He joined the department in 2024 after completing his PhD in Philosophy at the University of Pittsburgh (2024) and holds a BA in Philosophy and Classics from Wake Forest University (2016).

His research focuses on the epistemology of testimony and trust, perception (particularly biased perceptual experiences), moral epistemology, and their applications to societal issues such as prejudice, extremism, misinformation, and conspiracy theories. He also explores intersections with applied ethics, social and political philosophy, philosophy of mind, and philosophy of science.
