William Charles is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology and Gerontology at Miami University. His research focuses on economic and organizational sociology, including labor processes, status dynamics in collaborative workplaces, and labor control in gig economy platforms. He has contributed to studies on adapting management models from Toyota to healthcare and analyzing platforms like Postmates and Favor.
