William Amonette

William Amonette is a Professor and Program Director of Kinesiology in the Department of Clinical, Health, and Applied Sciences at the University of Houston-Clear Lake's College of Human Sciences and Humanities. He holds a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Sciences from the University of Texas Medical Branch.

His research focuses on physiological predictors of human performance, injury mechanisms in athletes, and innovative rehabilitation interventions using technologies like virtual reality. He maintains collaborations with NASA and professional sports organizations.

Professor Amonette has extensive practical experience, including previous roles as a strength coach for the Chinese National Basketball Team, Houston Rockets, and NASA astronaut training programs.
