William Alexander

• Ph.D. in Chemistry from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (2009)

Dr. Alexander's research program bridges environmental science and fundamental chemical physics, with primary emphasis on Science Support for Environmental Emergency Response and Drone Technology for Water Resource Monitoring. His work investigates surface and interfacial phenomena, reaction dynamics, and intermolecular interactions at molecular levels, complemented by studies of biomaterial surfaces. Computational methodologies including ab initio calculations and molecular dynamics simulations form a critical component of his approach to modeling complex chemical systems.
