Willem H. Dickhoff

Willem H. Dickhoff is Professor of Physics at Washington University with joint affiliation to the McDonnell Center for the Space Sciences. He holds a PhD from the Free University in Amsterdam and completed postdoctoral research at institutions in Jülich, Tübingen, and TRIUMF. His research focuses on solving the nuclear many-body problem, particularly studying nucleon correlations in nuclei near stability limits and neutron stars. Collaborating internationally, Dickhoff investigates how nuclear properties change from stability to drip lines using dispersive optical models and studies nucleonic matter phase diagrams relevant to neutron stars.

Dickhoff teaches undergraduate and graduate courses including Quantum Mechanics, Nuclear Physics, and Particle Physics.
