Will Bennett

Assoc Prof Will Bennett is Deputy Head of School (Research) at Griffith University's School of Environment and Science. He holds adjunct roles at the University of Southern Denmark and Southern Cross University. His research focuses on trace metal geochemistry in aquatic environments, utilizing advanced techniques like Synchrotron-based X-ray spectroscopy and DGT (Diffusive Gradients in Thin Films). Bennett's work bridges environmental and analytical chemistry, developing novel methods to study metal behavior in marine sediments and water systems. He has led multiple funded projects, including grants from the Australian Research Council and Gold Coast City Council, addressing water quality, sediment monitoring, and environmental remediation.
