Wesley L. Harris is the Charles Stark Draper Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), with a distinguished career spanning over five decades. He has served as Head of the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics (2003-2008), Associate Provost for Faculty Equity (2008-2013), and Founding Director of the MIT Hypersonics Research Team (2015–present). His academic journey includes roles at the University of Tennessee, University of Connecticut, and NASA.
