Werner Kuhlmeier

Werner Kuhlmeier is a retired Professor of Vocational Education at the University of Hamburg, with expertise in vocational didactics, sustainable development in education, and construction industry training. His career includes practical experience as a cabinetmaker and industry trainer.

Research projects include EU-funded initiatives on vocational education for sustainable development (BBnE), energy efficiency training evaluations, and curriculum reform. He co-edited 'Berufsbildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung' (2014).

Administrative roles include Deputy Chair of the National Working Group for Vocational Education (BAG Bau-Holz-Farbe) and non-executive directorships at science parks and charitable foundations.
