Wenyu Jing is a Researcher in the China Studies Department at the East Asian Seminar of the University of Cologne. She is currently working on her doctoral dissertation titled 'Revolution and Tradition: The village cadres in China's People’s Commune'.

Her research focuses on exploring the interplay between revolutionary policies and traditional rural structures in China's People’s Commune era. She investigates the roles and dynamics of village cadres within this socio-political framework.
