Wendy Williams

Wendy Williams is an Associate Research Fellow at the Africa Center for Strategic Studies, part of National Defense University, focusing on forced displacement, migration, and security challenges in Africa. Her research spans violent extremist organizations, illicit financial flows, and the intersection of international law with humanitarian crises.

Her work examines the security implications of climate change, conflict-driven displacement, and militant Islamist violence. Publications highlight trends in biodiversity loss, food crises, and displacement statistics.

She previously served as a policy advisor at the International Federation of Red Cross and as an attorney in global capital markets.
