Wendy Wheelwright

Professor Wendy Wheelwright is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Part-Time Adjunct Faculty member at the University of San Francisco. Currently serving as Training Coordinator at Sonoma County Behavioral Health Division, she oversees staff development programs for mental health clinicians and supporting staff. Her academic background includes a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University with a double major in Psychology and Music, alongside a business minor.

Specializing in trauma, her work focuses on mental health clinician training, program development, and grant-funded community treatment initiatives. Notable achievements include:

• Program Director for the Progress Sonoma Crisis-Residential Unit (2007 opening)
• Collaborated on $1 million CHFFA grant for treatment program expansion

While primarily focused on clinical administration, Professor Wheelwright maintains a parallel passion for music, having performed operatic soprano solos and played piano for over 40 years.
