Wendy Parmet is the George J. and Kathleen Waters Matthews Distinguished University Professor of Law and an affiliate in the School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs at Northeastern University. She directs the Center for Health Policy and Law and co-edits the law school's SSRN publications. A renowned expert in health policy, her landmark litigation includes Bragdon v. Abbott (ADA protections for HIV patients) and Finch v. Commonwealth (healthcare access for immigrants).
Her research spans public health law, bioethics, and social justice. She serves on boards for Health Law Advocates and Health Care for All, and has authored pivotal works like The Health of Newcomers and Populations, Public Health, and the Law.
