About
Dr. Wei Xu is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Epidemiology and Social Sciences at the Medical College of Wisconsin's Institute for Health & Equity. As a spatial epidemiologist, she investigates how place-based factors influence health and aging across the life course.
Her research integrates social determinants of health frameworks with life course epidemiology to examine neighborhood effects on epigenetic aging and Alzheimer's disease. Current projects leverage Wisconsin population data to analyze long-term neighborhood disadvantage and systemic inequities in long-term care access.
