Wayne F. Reed

Wayne F. Reed is the Murchison-Mallory Professor of Physics at Tulane University's School of Science & Engineering, Department of Physics. His research encompasses polymer physics, biophysics, and real-time monitoring of polymerization processes.

• Automatic Continuous Online Monitoring (ACOMP) of polymerization reactions
• Protein aggregation kinetics and light scattering techniques
• Development of novel 2D materials and nanocomposites
• Polyelectrolyte behavior and micellar assemblies
• Control systems for polymer synthesis

Awards & Innovation: Recipient of Tulane SSE Outstanding Researcher Award (2012). Co-founded Fluence Analytics (acquired by Yokogawa Electric) and holds 20+ patents in polymer characterization and biologics analysis.
