Wasyl Cajkler

Wasyl Cajkler is a Professor of Education at the University of Leicester's School of Education. He has extensive experience in secondary and tertiary education across the UK, France, and Nepal. His work focuses on teacher education, particularly in English as a Second Language (TESOL) and Modern Languages. He has developed key programs including the MA in Applied Linguistics and TESOL, MAIE International Education, and PGCE Secondary with Modern Languages.

• Affiliations: Founder member of the Association for Language Awareness, contributor to Language Awareness Journal and Language and Education, and member of the World Association for Lesson Studies (WALS).
• Past Roles: Former Head of the School of Education (2018-2019).

He is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has transitioned to reduced working hours toward retirement in 2022. His research emphasizes language pedagogy and international educational practices.
