Wangqiong Ye is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the CREATE Center for Research on Equality in Education, University of Oslo. She holds a PhD in education, an MSc in Statistics from Case Western Reserve University, and an MEd in Curriculum and Instruction from Beijing Normal University.
Her research focuses on educational equity, academic resilience, and mathematics education. She investigates protective factors for student achievement, teacher motivations, and the impact of education policies on marginalized populations through comparative studies across 36 education systems.
Recent publications analyze classroom composition and teaching quality, parental involvement in left-behind children’s education, and school leadership practices linked to academic resilience. Her work employs large-scale assessments and systematic reviews.
She contributes to the BeResilient Project examining disadvantaged students’ academic resilience and participates in the Frontier Research in Educational Measurement (FREMO) group. She collaborates with international researchers like Sigrid Blömeke and has published in journals such as ZDM: Mathematics Education and Frontiers in Psychology.
