Wang Weiwei

Wang Weiwei is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biophysics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. His lab studies ion channel clusters using artificial membranes, fluorescence microscopy, and cryo-electron microscopy to correlate structural dynamics with electrical signaling.

Research focuses on membrane protein biophysics, including glycine and hERG channel mechanisms, GIRK regulation, and innovative imaging techniques. Recent publications highlight structural insights into ion channel gating, high-throughput drug screening, and single-molecule methodologies.
