Wanda Horn, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Orthopaedic Surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She serves as Director of the Geriatric Inpatient Service and Geriatrics Hip Fracture Service at Montefiore Medical Center. Her roles include co-managing orthopedic trauma and joint replacement patients at Wakefield campus, with a focus on improving elderly patient care through preoperative assessments and postoperative comanagement.
Education: Earned her Doctor of Medicine from Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Bucharest, Romania, 1995). Completed residencies in Pediatrics (1996–1999), Internal Medicine (2000–2003), and a Geriatrics fellowship (2004) in the U.S.
Research Interests: Geriatric care optimization, delirium prevention in surgical patients, and geriatric-orthopedic collaboration. Presented work at national meetings and published in medical journals.
Awards: 2015 Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatrics. Member of American Geriatrics Society and International Geriatric Fracture Society.
