Walter Uys

Walter Uys serves as a Visiting Research Fellow at the Department of Computer Science within the School of Computing and Engineering, hosted through an international collaboration with the University of Cape Town (South Africa). His appointment spans from September 2023 to August 2028 under formal international recognition.

His research focuses on sustainable computing paradigms and intelligent systems, specifically advancing energy-efficient software engineering, autonomous decision-making frameworks, and knowledge representation methodologies. This work directly supports the interdisciplinary mission of three key research centers where he is actively engaged.

Walter Uys contributes to the following research ecosystems:
