Walter Thompson

Walter Thompson is a Master Instructor in Mechanical Engineering at Colorado State University's Walter Scott, Jr. College of Engineering, with 38+ years' aerospace experience.

He developed graduate courses in Orbital Mechanics (MECH 518), Aerospace Trajectory and Performance (MECH 519), and Aerospace Guidance, Navigation and Control (MECH 580B6). His industry work includes trajectory design for 140+ space launches (Atlas/Delta programs), Cassini mission engineering, and contributions to Vulcan Centaur/New Glenn rockets.
