Walter Russell Mead is the Alexander Hamilton Professor of Strategy and Statecraft at the Hamilton School, University of Florida. He also serves as the Ravenel B. Curry III Distinguished Fellow in Strategy and Statesmanship at Hudson Institute and writes the 'Global View' column for the Wall Street Journal. His work focuses on international affairs, political history, and strategic diplomacy, with notable contributions to understanding US foreign policy and its global impact.
Education: Honors graduate of Groton School and Yale University, where he excelled in history, debate, and translation of New Testament Greek. His research interests encompass geopolitics, US-Israel relations, Anglo-American empire dynamics, and the intersection of culture and foreign policy.
