Walid Omara

Walid Omara is a Senior Lecturer in Microbiology at Sheffield Hallam University's School of Biosciences and Chemistry. His interdisciplinary research spans environmental, medical, and industrial microbiology with focus on microbial biosynthesis and infection control.

Research develops eco-friendly microbial synthesis methods for metal nanoparticles and investigates polymicrobial infections in clinical settings. Collaborative work with clinicians has produced protocols for neonatal ICU infection control validated in Egyptian hospitals.
