Walid Busaba is a Professor of Finance at the Ivey Business School, Western University, and former Bank of Montreal Professor. He holds a PhD from Boston College, with prior faculty roles at the Eller College of Business (University of Arizona) and visiting positions at the Carlson School of Management (University of Minnesota). His research focuses on investment banking, corporate finance, and financial contracting, with notable work on IPO timing, underwriter roles, and debt contracts. Recognized for teaching excellence, he has received awards including the Dean’s Commendation at Ivey and the University Student Council Teaching Honour Roll.
