Walenty Wróblewski is a Professor in the Department of Painting and Drawing at the Faculty of Arts, Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS) in Lublin. He joined UMCS in 1983 and served as Head of the Department of Painting I from 2012 to 2019. He holds a diploma in Painting (1978) from UMCS's Institute of Artistic Education, where he studied under Andrzej Kołodziejek after graduating from the State Secondary School of Fine Arts in Supraśl (1974).
His artistic practice spans painting and drawing, with extensive exhibition experience including 57 solo shows and participation in over 150 group exhibitions internationally.
