Waldemar Cudny

Dr. hab. Waldemar Cudny is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Urban Geography, Tourism Studies and Geoinformation, Faculty of Geographical Sciences, University of Lodz. His research focuses on tourism geography, urban studies, and sustainable tourism, with particular emphasis on event tourism, city branding, and spatial management. Over his career, he has contributed to 28 publications and supervised 2 promoted theses.

His work explores the interplay between tourism, urban development, and cultural events, including case studies on festival tourism, sports events, and regional promotion strategies (e.g., Kielce, German Euro 2012). He has been actively involved in academic activities and collaborations within the institute.
