Wade Holley

Dr. Wade Holley is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Columbus State University. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry with a concentration in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Tennessee in 2009 under Distinguished Professor Jimmy W. Mays. His academic journey includes postdoctoral research at Oak Ridge National Lab and the University of South Alabama.

His research focuses on polymer chemistry, particularly on two key projects: (1) investigating nanoscale confinement effects on polymer glass transition temperatures (Tg) and (2) developing low-cost conducting polymers via post-polymerization modification for photovoltaic applications. He teaches Organic Chemistry 1 and 2, along with Polymer Chemistry courses.

In his spare time, Dr. Holley enjoys homebrewing, cooking, and gardening with his wife.
