Wade Christopher

Dr. Wade Christopher serves as Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Mississippi Medical Center's School of Medicine, Chief of Surgery at Merit Madison, and Assistant Clerkship Director for M3 medical students. A board-certified surgical oncologist, he specializes in multidisciplinary treatment of oncologic and endocrine disorders with emphasis on collaborative patient-centered care.

His educational journey includes a BS in Biomedical Sciences from Auburn University (where he was a 2011 BCS National Championship football player), MD from University of South Alabama College of Medicine, general surgery residency at University of Mississippi Medical Center (serving as administrative chief resident), and Complex General Surgical Oncology fellowship at Providence St. John's Cancer Institute.

Dr. Christopher's clinical philosophy centers on individualized treatment through specialty collaboration to optimize outcomes. His expertise spans surgical oncology and endocrine disorders management, with active involvement in medical education and surgical training programs.
