W.B. Nagengast

Prof. W.B. Nagengast is a Professor at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Groningen (UMCG), specializing in Robotics and image-guided minimally-invasive surgery. His work focuses on gastrointestinal oncology, advanced endoscopy techniques, and molecular imaging applications. He holds leadership roles in professional committees including the NVMDL Endoscopy Committee and Barrett Expertise Centra Nederland. His research integrates cutting-edge imaging technologies like fluorescence-guided surgery and molecular tracers to improve diagnostic accuracy and surgical outcomes.

Research Interests: Prof. Nagengast’s work addresses challenges in neoplasm detection and treatment, particularly in pituitary tumors, meningiomas, and Barrett's esophagus.
