W. Craig Fowler is Professor and Vice-Chair of Surgery at Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine, Clinical Associate Professor at the UNC School of Medicine, and Medical Director Emeritus/Board Chair for Miracles in Sight. He joined Campbell in 2015, previously serving at Duke University Medical Center and UNC.

His clinical research spans corneal transplantation, tissue preparation, and surgical innovation, notably founding Duke's refractive surgery program and contributing to the Department of Defense's Free Electron Laser Laboratory.

He advises surgery clubs, serves on the National Veteran’s Administration Surgical Advisory Board, and contributes to the American Academy of Ophthalmology's committees. His leadership extends to the Triangle Christian Medical Dental Association (Vice Chair for 25+ years) and international medical missions.
Current initiatives focus on advancing eye banking protocols through Miracles in Sight and integrating surgical education with student mentorship programs across both universities.
