Professor Vytautas Mizaras is a faculty member at the Vilnius University Faculty of Law, holding the position of Professor in the Department of Private Law. He is also the head of the European Center for Private Law and Intellectual Property Law, chairman of the board of the Human Rights Monitoring Institute, and a partner at the law firm Ellex Valiūnas. His expertise lies in intellectual property law, private international law, and civil law, with significant contributions to legal reforms in Lithuania, including drafting key legal acts such as the new Civil Code and Code of Civil Procedure. In May 2021, he was appointed as a Judge of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Lithuania, a position renewed every nine years.
