Prof. Dr. Volker Markl is a leading academic in scalable data science and systems research. He serves as Professor and Head of the Database Systems and Information Management (DIMA) group at Technische Universität Berlin, Chief Scientist at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), and Director of the Berlin Institute for the Foundations of Learning and Data (BIFOLD).
