Volker Lohweg

Prof. Dr. Volker Lohweg is a Professor for Discrete Systems at the University of Applied Sciences Ostwestfalen-Lippe (OWL), leading the Image Processing and Pattern Recognition and Sensor and Information Fusion research groups. He served as director of the Institute for Industrial Information Technology (inIT) from 2006 to 2024 and co-founded the OWITA and coverno GmbH spin-offs. His work bridges automation, medical technologies, and document security.
