Voicu Ciobanu

Voicu Ciobanu, MD is a Professor of Basic Sciences at Roseman University (joined November 2024). He specializes in Pathology, with a focus on AI and digital image analysis in medical education and cancer research. Formerly at Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine as founding faculty, he pioneered student-centric, multidisciplinary Pathology curriculum design.

• Education: MD from Iuliu Hatieganu University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Romania; Residency in Diabetes, Obesity, and Metabolic Diseases.

Research Interests: Artificial Intelligence applications in pathology, digital imaging analysis, tumor banking, cancer research, and diabetes complications. His work spans NIH-funded studies on diabetes prevention (DPP), lupus genetics (SLE), and AI-driven cancer tissue analysis.
