Viviane KOVESS-MASFETY

Roles & Affiliations: Professor at EHESP and Honorary Professor at Paris Descartes University. Served as Director of EA 4069 Research Unit (Epidemiology, Evaluation & Health Policies) and founder of MGEN's Public Health Foundation. Currently leads research on mental health systems, pharmacoepidemiology of psychotropics, and architectural impacts on psychiatric care quality.

Educational Background: Doctorate in Medicine (specializing in Psychiatry), HDR (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches), and advanced epidemiology training. Completed studies in France and Canada (McGill University).

Research Focus: Specializes in psychiatric epidemiology with emphasis on mental health access disparities, child mental health surveys, EU health policies, and pharmacoepidemiology. Key projects include Afghanistan mental health surveys, European child mental health studies, and analysis of antipsychotic use patterns.

Expertise & Leadership: Former President of World Psychiatric Association's epidemiology section and Chair of France's High Council for Public Health evaluation committee. Founded APAQESM to improve psychiatric care quality through interdisciplinary collaboration and architectural design innovations.

Teaching Contributions: Leads psychiatric epidemiology courses at EHESP, coordinates modules on mental health policy in public health programs, and collaborates internationally with Columbia University and WHO on education initiatives.
