Virginia A Hoy

Virginia A Hoy is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of English at George Mason University. She has been affiliated with the university since 2005, teaching composition courses and Introduction to the Research Process for the Bachelor of Individualized Studies program. Her expertise spans composition theory, adult learning theory, and medieval literature and history.

Education:

• Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Georgetown University

Her teaching focuses on pedagogical approaches in composition and medieval studies. Office hours are held Tuesdays 4:30-5:30 PM and Thursdays 10:45-11:45 AM in Horizon Hall 4107 (in-person and virtual via Zoom).
