Violeta Šlekienė is an Associate Professor at the Šiauliai Academy of Vilnius University, specializing in science education and social sciences. She holds a Doctorate in Social Sciences (1995–2000, Vilnius Pedagogical University and Siauliai University), an Optometrist qualification (2003–2004), and a Physics degree with teaching certification (1975–1980, Vilnius University).
