Violeta Mangalagiu

Dr. Violeta Mangalagiu is a Senior Researcher III at the CERNESIM Center (L1-CERNESIM-ICI) and affiliated with the Department of Exact and Natural Sciences at "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University of Iași (UAIC). She earned her PhD in Materials Science and Engineering in 2010 from "Stefan cel Mare" University of Suceava, Romania. Her research focuses on designing and synthesizing novel azaheterocyclic compounds and hybrid organic/inorganic nanobiomaterials functionalized with metal nanoparticles.

Her work emphasizes environmentally friendly synthesis methods utilizing ultrasound and microwave technologies. The resulting materials are investigated for applications in pharmaceuticals, medicine, and optoelectronics. Dr. Mangalagiu's expertise spans nanotechnology, heterocyclic chemistry, and advanced material characterization.
