Vinh Nguyen serves as a Research Fellow at the Nossal Institute for Global Health within the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health at the University of Melbourne. With over 15 years of experience in public health research, project management, and evaluation, she specializes in addressing critical health inequities through implementation science and mixed-methods approaches.
Her research focuses on health system responsiveness, women’s health, disability, and gender-based violence, with particular emphasis on vulnerable populations including individuals with disabilities, people living with HIV, and ethnic minorities. She employs participatory methodologies and stakeholder engagement to translate research into actionable health strategies, collaborating extensively with government agencies, NGOs, and community organizations to improve health program planning and data utilization.
Nguyen has implemented significant digital health initiatives, including Vietnam's national HIV/AIDS case surveillance system during her tenure at PATH, and has partnered with organizations such as FHI360, PSI, and CCIHP to advance public health outcomes through evidence-based interventions.
