Vincent Pouliot

Professor Vincent Pouliot is affiliated with the Université de Montréal as a member of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and the Department of Political Science. He is also the holder of the Chaire d’excellence en études internationales and a researcher at the Centre d’études et de recherches internationales (CÉRIUM).

His research focuses on:

• International Organizations
• Global Governance
• Multilateral Diplomacy
• Global History

He leads the FQRSC-funded research team "Mondialisation sous tension", which critically examines the boundaries of globalization and global governance. His recent work includes two book projects analyzing the evolution of the international linguistic landscape and the precarization of labor in global governance at the United Nations.

Prior to joining Université de Montréal in 2025, he served as director of the Centre for International Peace and Security Studies and held the James McGill Professor title at McGill University for 17 years.
