Vincent Mouly is a CNRS Research Director and co-team leader at Sorbonne University's Faculty of Medicine, with expertise in muscle regeneration, aging, and stem cell biology. He has held an HDR (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches) from Paris 7 University since 1999 and serves on Sorbonne University's Academic Council, Research Commission, and CNU Section 44-03. His research focuses on human muscle regeneration, its disruption during aging, and cellular communication via secreted molecules.
- Established xenograft models for in vivo stem cell studies
- Co-led research teams with Gillian Butler-Browne
- Founded technical platform for human myogenic cell immortalization (2007)
- Developed international collaborations through European networks (MYORES, MYOAMP, MYOAGE)
- Co-created international lab with Oswaldo Cruz Institute (Brazil)
