Vincent Levesque is an Associate Professor in the Department of Software and IT Engineering at École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS), Montréal, Canada, and director of the Haptic User Experience (HUX) research group. He previously held roles as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of British Columbia (2009–2011) and Research Scientist at Immersion Corp. (2011–2016).
Education: B.Eng. (Computer Engineering, McGill University, 2000), M.Eng. (Electrical Engineering, McGill University, 2003), Ph.D. (Electrical Engineering, McGill University, 2009).
Research focuses on haptic technologies in human-computer interaction, including mobile/wearable haptics, tactile displays, and assistive technologies for visually impaired individuals. His work has been recognized with multiple awards, including Best Paper Awards at IEEE Haptics Symposium (2012) and ACM CHI (2011).
He is an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Haptics and IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters, and served as General Co-Chair for the 2021 IEEE World Haptics Conference.
