Dr. Vincent K.L. Chang is an Assistant Professor in History and International Relations at Leiden University, affiliated with the Institute for Area Studies. He is also a Senior Fellow at the Leiden Asia Centre. His research focuses on historical experiences and contemporary approaches to nation-building, conflict, diplomacy, and law in East Asia and the Indo-Pacific. Key areas include transnational memory politics, region-building, China-EU relations, and Sino-Dutch ties. He teaches modules on modern Chinese history, memory politics, and international relations in programs like Chinese Studies and International Relations.
