Dr. Vince Nix is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Education at West Texas A&M University's Terry B. Rogers College of Education and Social Sciences. He holds a B.A. in Sociology & Psychology from the University of Mississippi, a Master's in Leadership, and a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Washington State University.
His research focuses on formative assessment, affective domain learning, and organizational emotions, employing multimethod approaches informed by anthropology, economics, management, leadership, psychology, and sociology. Dr. Nix has extensive teaching experience across bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels, covering subjects including career management, globalization issues, human resources, and strategic planning.
Dr. Nix's recent publications explore innovative approaches to affective learning outcomes, environmental awareness in education, and co-regulated online learning. His research demonstrates consistent interest in educational innovation, social justice, and the impacts of neoliberal policies on education systems. His work frequently incorporates mixed-methods approaches to examine educational phenomena across diverse contexts.
He has chaired over 20 doctoral dissertations to completion and served as methodologist for more than 20 additional doctoral research studies, contributing significantly to graduate education development.
