Viktor Pataki is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Modern Hungarian Literature, Comparative Literature and Literary Theory within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary. Having earned his PhD in 2019 from Eötvös Loránd University with a dissertation on memory representation in Imre Oravecz's works, he has established himself as a significant contributor to Hungarian literary studies.
His research focuses on lyric and memory theory, multi- and intermediality, and contemporary Hungarian literature. Pataki teaches courses including Introduction to Literary Studies, Literary Theory, Theories of Mediality, Cultural Studies, Lyric Theory, and Hermeneutics and Deconstruction. He actively participates in three research groups: the General Literary Studies Research Group, Contemporary Central European Novel Research Group, and Children's and Youth Literature Research Group.
