Vikram S. Adve

Vikram S. Adve is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He co-founded and co-leads the Center for Digital Agriculture and directs the USDA-funded AIFARMS Institute, focusing on AI applications in sustainable agriculture. His research bridges compilers, parallel systems, and AI to address challenges in edge computing and digital farming.

Research interests span compiler technologies (LLVM, HPVM), parallel programming models, software reliability, and AI-driven agriculture. Key projects include:

• CropWizard: Generative AI for agricultural decision-making.
