Dr. Vikki Rand is a Professor at Teesside University, serving as Director of the National Horizons Centre (NHC) and a member of the Senior Management Team. She leads NHC’s development as a biosciences and healthcare innovation hub, integrating industry, NHS, and academia. Her research focuses on cancer genomics, particularly lymphoma and pediatric cancers, with an emphasis on identifying biomarkers and reducing treatment toxicity. She also drives initiatives like the EPSRC-funded Northern Health Futures (NortHFutures) hub to address health inequalities through digital health innovation.
